What is DDPI? How to enable DDPI in Flattrade?

Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction, commonly referred to as DDPI, is an enabling instruction that authorizes your broker to debit securities held in your demat account for selling purposes, pledging, or for margin needs. The issuance of this DDPI will, in fact, ensure faster sale of holdings without CDSL TPIN/OTP every time, enable MTF, and ensure smooth settlement activities like the pledging of shares and mutual fund redemptions.

Steps to Enable DDPI in Flattrade:

Log in to wall: Go to wall.flattrade.in

Navigate to My Account: Click on Demat.

Initiate Activation: Click on Enable Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI).

E-sign: Accept the terms and click Continue. Click Proceed to Sign Now.

Aadhaar Authentication: Enter your Aadhaar number, send OTP, and verify.

Key Details:

Charges: A one-time fee of ₹175 is charged from your trading account.

Timeline: Activated within 48 hours for most accounts.

Eligibility: Only for individual accounts with Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers.
