What is HUF account?

HUF stands for Hindu United Family. HUF is a separate legal entity that is formed by the members of a Hindu family which consists of all persons lineally descended from a common ancestor and includes their wives and unmarried daughters. Further, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist families can also create an HUF account.
